Ramadan on the ground Thirty days of giving in Gaza and Syria
During this Ramadan, the field team of the Bridge of Cooperation Association took full responsibility...
With the onset of winter and the harsh drop in temperatures, Yardım Köprüsü Association launched a large-scale project to distribute heating materials across northern Syria, as an urgent humanitarian response to the suffering of thousands of families and refugees living in difficult housing conditions, particularly in camps and informal settlements.
The project was implemented at a time when residents’ hardships intensify due to falling temperatures, the lack of safe heating options, and rising fuel costs—making winter a serious threat, especially to children, the elderly, and those with health conditions. In line with its humanitarian responsibility, the association aimed to design this intervention as a high-impact project, reaching as many vulnerable families as possible with much-needed warmth.
The implementation process included field-based needs assessments in coordination with local teams, identifying the most affected areas with high concentrations of refugees, and securing appropriate heating materials for distribution based on clear and equitable criteria to ensure access for the most vulnerable groups. The association’s teams carried out the distributions in an organized manner that preserved beneficiaries’ dignity and took their living conditions into account.
Yardım Köprüsü Association emphasizes that this heating project was not merely a material distribution, but a message of human solidarity—affirming that warmth is a basic right and that standing by refugees during the harshest conditions is a moral and humanitarian duty. The association continues its commitment to implementing sustainable seasonal projects that strengthen the resilience of affected communities
